Agneta's mother and the fairy books
A nursing home in Stockholm. Agneta’s mother, Ingrid is 95 years old. Since she lost her husband 13 years ago, she has lived alone in this home. The furniture she used to use at her original house is here with her. The staffs respect and take care of the previous lives of the residents.
There are also some picture books on fairies in Ingrid's library here. Almost half a century ago, Ingrid used to read aloud the fairies’ stories every night beside Agneta’s bed when she was a small girl. It was her most favorite time. What attracted Agneta most were fairies who had the semblances of small children with something like wings of butterflies or dragonflies on their backs. She liked also fairies of blueberries and of cranberries. People in Sweden have believed that there live many kinds of fairies and spirits in the forests and lakes. Trolls live in the forests, shapeshifting. Water spirit,; Neck is a dreadful spirit who plays violin beautifully and lures people into the water. Huldra appears in the semblance of a beautiful young woman. Her back looks like a surface of a tree and has a hole of tree. She is believed to watch always people passing in the woods. Agneta heard from his uncle that he really saw Huldra walking in the woods.
